Choosing a plan

Compare the free and paid tiers and pick the one that fits your table.

RPG World is free to start, and paid tiers add more room and extra tools as your table grows. This guide explains what each tier includes so you can pick the one that fits. You can compare them any time on the Pricing page (linked in the footer of every page).

The tiers

The four subscription tiers: Free, Basic, Premium, and Unlimited
  • Free — get started with character creation and play. Includes up to 3 characters and one campaign you run as GM. Joining other people's campaigns as a player is always free.
  • Basic — for casual players who want more characters on the go.
  • Premium — for dedicated players and Game Masters: more room and extras like the AI tools connection (MCP).
  • Unlimited — unlimited everything, aimed at serious GMs and content creators.
Use the Monthly / Annual toggle at the top of the tiers to compare pricing — paying annually saves you two months.

What changes between tiers

Higher tiers mainly raise or remove limits and unlock extras:

  • Characters — how many you can keep in your vault at once.
  • Campaigns you run — how many campaigns you can GM (joining as a player is unlimited on every tier).
  • Custom content — how much homebrew (items, feats, and more) you can create.
  • AI tools — connecting Claude and other assistants to your characters and campaigns.

Common questions

The Pricing page has a Common Questions section covering the essentials — you can change plans at any time (changes take effect at your next billing cycle), cancel whenever you like, and keep your data. Give it a read before you decide.
